Sacrocolpopexy Mesh Removal

A procedure to repair mesh extrusion and erosion

Sacrocolpopexy mesh is frequently used when treating vaginal prolapse. However, complications can occur, resulting in mesh extrusion and erosion. If cream is not successful in treating the issue, or if the extrusion is particularly large, a sacrocolpopexy mesh removal surgery is performed.  The mesh is frequently removed through the vaginal opening with one small incision to the area.
